01
Phone intake
You call (855) 959-5820 and tell us what you burn and when you last had the flue swept. We ask about smoke smell, draft problems, and any animal noise in the chimney. That call takes five minutes and sets the right equipment on the truck before we arrive.
02
Drop cloths and setup
We lay drop cloths from the door to the hearth and set the HEPA vacuum at the firebox. Roof access gets a ladder and a chimney cap tool. Setup runs 15 to 20 minutes, and your floors stay clean enough that you will not need to vacuum after we leave.
03
Flue brushing
From the roof we run a chimney brush on chimney rods through the full flue length, then repeat from the firebox on offset flues. A Sooteater rotary head handles the stubborn glaze that a straight brush skips. This step takes 45 to 90 minutes depending on buildup and flue height.
04
Camera inspection
An inspection camera goes down the flue to check flue tiles, mortar joints, and the smoke chamber. We look for masonry cracks, gaps at the thimble, and any sign of a past chimney fire. You get photos of anything that needs attention, not a verbal maybe.
05
Cleanup and report
We vacuum the firebox with an ash vacuum, wipe the hearth, and walk you through what we found. You get a written report with photos and a recommendation for your next annual chimney sweep. Total visit: two to four hours.
